I work in the cultural sector, and I coach writers and edit fiction freelance for the intense satisfaction it brings me. My aim is simple – to understand the writer’s vision for their work, and to support them to achieve that with honesty, clarity and a commitment to excellence. Gaёtane is a nationally accredited editor and member of the Australian Institute of Professional Editors Ltd. She is a government communications professional with more than twenty five years’ experience across a range of portfolios at both State and federal level, including taxes, justice, human services, agriculture, climate change and energy, and the arts. Currently, she manages online and print publishing for the National Archives of Australia. As a third culture child and adult, Gaёtane has lived on three continents, where she developed an ear for languages and an affinity for cultural mores which she finds useful in navigating fictional worlds of all kinds. She speaks three languages and is a multi-passionate artist in the fields of creative writing, photography and fine arts.
